Technical judgement guides our work and the commitments we make to customers. We expect people to understand the detail, explain their decisions clearly and take responsibility for the work they deliver.

Life at IONERAS
How we work together.
Our Culture
We encourage people to ask questions and explain their reasoning. A design review is a chance to compare ideas and examine the evidence together. When a result changes our understanding, we revisit the decision rather than carry on with an assumption that no longer holds.
Taking responsibility also means making the work clear to others. We record why decisions were made, keep colleagues and customers informed, and follow up on unresolved questions. Sharing that understanding helps the next person continue the work without having to start again.

When a customer asks why we recommend a particular approach, I want us to give a clear answer and show the work behind it. That means understanding the detail ourselves and being willing to question it. For me, that is a basic responsibility of being an engineer.
